I am a Senior Research Fellow at the Centre for Employment Research, University of Westminster. This website contains links and information about my ongoing and published research.
My current work focuses on school choice, social mobility and returns to education, and I have wider interests in the economic and social determinants of population health.
My research involves analysing large survey datasets, often linked with administrative records, to evaluate public policies and understand variation in outcomes across the life course.
I have held previous posts at Lancaster University (where I completed my PhD in economics, in 2019), the University of Glasgow (2012-2014) and the New Zealand Treasury (2010-2012). I joined the IZA, Institute of Labor Economics, as Research Fellow in 2019.
